Visiting The Cliffs of Moher In Ireland

Cliffs of Moher

As you know, I took a quick trip to Ireland last week and it was simply amazing! One of the locations we visited were the Cliffs of Moher. Standing 702 feet at their highest point they stretch for 5 miles along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. It was a few hours by bus and completely worth the trip. Plenty of ways to get there from Dublin – just ask your hotel for information.

Was it raining when we went? ABSOLUTELY. Pouring. Pelting. Bill’s glasses actually went flying off of his face and he kept chasing them around like in the old cartoons. He would get really close to them and then they would scurry ahead a few more feet. It was comical. But we were lucky enough to still be able to see the cliffs – in all of their natural wonder – despite the weather. Cliffs of Moher Cliffs of Moher

There is a chance to enter O’Brien’s tower, but unfortunately, my ticket did not include admission. That’s ok! I spent the rest of my time warming up with some delicious stew in the visitor’s bureau. You still can absolutely appreciate the outside of the tower though, right?!Cliffs of Moher Cliffs of Moher

Please add this place to your list — it’s simply breathtaking.

And besides, on your way back to Dublin, you can catch a glimpse at an authentic “Leprechaun House”! LOL 🙂 Loved that. Cliffs of Moher

There’s always something to see as you ride around in that bus. Don’t close your eyes – keep watching. What an amazing journey we had.
