Project Runway alum, Althea Harper, showed her Spring 2011 collection. Comprised of sleek looks that are for the body conscious, its easy to see why Kim Kardashian is a fan of this line.
The color story was a smooth mix of gray, beige and white, with different shades of each. Each look was paired with fierce silver pumps. The stationary presentation (you know how much I prefer these) featured the models on stairs. From short and tight to long and flowy, the silhouettes was basic but beautiful. There was a simple gray dress that fell to the knees with a cold shoulder. This dress was so Kim K. It clung to every curve and I have to be honest with you. If there’s a bump or lump that you’d rather not highlight, this is not the dress for you. I loved the pale beige pant suit. The pants were short and the sleeves of the jacket were scrunched up. I’m a big fan of scrunched sleeves. I haven’t worn my sleeves long in ages. Worn with a basic gray tank, this suit emanates casual confidence. For those who want to cover and camouflage, there was a white dress that fell to the knees. The fit was boxy but the fabric was light and flowing, for a look that is Miami-breezy but complimentary for many body types. Tapered trousers were featured, in gray. This is a bit of a throwback from last season but, if it still works for you, pair with a boxy top, like Althea did.
