Fashion Hauling At Century 21: Great Finds At The Right Price (VIDEO)

Ok gang! Yesterday morning, I was invited to visit Century 21 and see what bargains they had to offer. Let me tell you – I was pleasantly surprised. I was accompanied by a WONDERFUL woman who knew the store inside and out and she guided me through the departments and answered all my questions.

In fact, the store is BIG on making sure their employees are equally as friendly. Some wore badges proving that enough customers told managers about their performance. What a great way to promote kindness! Love it!!

But onto the haul…

I tried my hardest to get something from every department, but I couldn’t. They had SUCH variety and I had $500 to spend, so I did my best. I can tell you I am missing at least 6 or 7 departments (including shoes, toys, home goods, appliances, jewelry, sunglasses, stationery — just to name  A FEW).

The video above shows what clothing I purchased. I was THIS CLOSE to just spending everything on clothing because I was DYING in the designer section, but that would have done this review a disservice because Century 21 is so much more than designer discount. The store has EVERYTHING you need –  I mean — talk about a one-stop-shop. {Did I mention the couture Dior dress found that was reduced from $6000 to $550? Almost passed out.}

So, here are the items I bought that aren’t included in the video.  The stockings above are patterned and burgundy (just wrote a post about this color – so I had to jump on them when I found the nylon section).

  • Givenchy Patterned Tights – Originally $18 Reduced to 10.97
  • Calvin Klein Burgundy Tights – Originally $16 Reduced to $7.97

Yankee Candles – yum, yum, and yum

Originally $21.99, $24.99, $24.99
Reduced to $9.97, $12.97, $12.97

Dog toy — this was part of a fairly large dog and cat section. Beds, jewelry, clothing, beds, blankets – you name it!

$4.97

Their makeup department can compete with a national department store. I CAVED and bought 3 nail polishes from Chanel because I’m kind of obsessing lately.

BVLGARI BLV II Originally $79, Reduced $68
Chanel Nail Polishes – Originally $49.99 each, Reduced to $23 each

And I immediately did my nails! LOL!

Bedding bag – I almost bought a comforter but I stopped myself. The collections on display were all so beautiful!
Laura Ashley Originally $10, Reduced $6.97

Big Top Cupcake – Originally $19.95 plus $6.95 shipping, Reduced $19.97

There’s a back story to this cupcake pan. My daughter is obsessed with this commercial. Whenever it comes on she starts screaming about how I NEED THIS! “We can share the cupcake mom!”

She also starts repeating key messages from the commercial – it’s almost scary. But I thought it would be cute to get her this gift from Santa. I can’t wait for her to open it because I know she is going to FLIP OUT.

Underwear — let me tell you, there was some really nice lingerie there. My husband really isn’t a lingerie kinda guy so I didn’t get any (sorry if that was a little TMI). But I’m telling you – designer brands significantly reduced. Calvin Klein, Hanky Panky etc. Nice selection.

Lace panties Originally $6, Reduced to $2.97
Pink panties Originally $9, Reduced to $1.97

As a joke I tweeted this pic yesterday. Imagine!! But you know what — if you needed it, it’s at Century 21. Right along with a variety of Spanx products!

We needed new towels for our bathroom – not a problem. There was an entire wall in their basement filled with dozens of brands and colors.

Originally $12, Reduced $5.97

Even my psychotic husband’s obsession with Vineyard Vines was managed at Century 21. I got him this alligator golf tie and he absolutely loved it!

Vineyard Vines Tie Originally $75, Reduced $34.97

At the end of the day, I painted Natalie’s nails with the Chanel peche nacree nail polish and Bill thought that was hilarious. We both tried on the polish at the same time for the first time. I am 33 and she is 5! Something is wrong here. LOL!!! Not that she knows anything – she just knows the polish is pink. But I kept thinking how crazy it all is that she’s exposed to these things at such an early age.

Anyway back to the haul – – the Century 21 prices for the clothing in the video are as follows:

  • Nautica Three Piece Suit for Boys – Originally $54, Reduced to $22.97
  • Tommy Hilfiger Sweater for Boys – Originally $37.50, Reduced to $19.97
  • Adrienne Vittadini Black Sweater – Originally $68, Reduced to $24.97
  • Mak Sweater Dress – Originally $58, Reduced to $29.97
  • JBrand Jeans – Originally $187, Reduced to $89.97
  • Poof Jeggings – Originally $24, Reduced to $11.97

AND THERE’S COUPONS!!!

While I was there I was able to save $15 because I spent over $30 in cosmetics. So not only is Century 21 a steal, but it’s a steal that also provides coupons. If I went last weekend to do this haul, I would have gotten an additional 25% off my order because they ran a mega deal on Saturday and Sunday! Unreal!

REWARDS PROGRAM? YUP – THEY HAVE THAT TOO!

Right now you can sign up for their rewards program PLUS be entered to win a $500 gift card. It’s free to join and can’t hurt. The program rewards you for every dollar spent, but right now it’s double points per dollar. My $500 purchase just pushed me to 1000 points which means I made gold status after one shopping trip! Woot! Woot! At gold,  you are sent a variety of extra coupons and promotions.

After house hunting for several weeks, my husband and I would like to make an offer of your home at 52310 Fluffy Lamb Lane. By keeping these points in mind, it is possible to buy the most suitable home theater system for one. A number of web sites list homes according to city, state, or price range.
