These aren’t Hurricane Irene tips! This is just me talking about how I’m incapable of doing anything else but watch the news. It’s also a big thank you to my husband – who unlike you cannot walk away from my anxiety attacks. LOL!

Want to hear something Hurricane related thats kinda funny?
NYC has three zones. Mandatory Evacuation zone, the 'You should go Zone', and the "You are okay, kinda but you could be flooded" zone. So MY street between 31st and 29th Street is a zone split in the middle of the road. The building across the street, Zone 3. Hurricane fun zone. No potential trouble! You should see the map... split right down the street.
You guys will be fine. Though the grill doesn't sound like a bad idea. 1. Who doesn't like basement burgers? and 2. If the house does go up into a fiery blaze, Irene will put it out lickity split.

I'm write there with you but my nerves are internal and I use humor to deflect. Hence today's post. Be safe...praying this hurricane passes us by with no damage. Hugs!

I think you're freaking out a little too much. I live on the Gulf Coast and have been through this plenty times. It's not that bad :)
