Andrew Buckler’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection was showcased on the cobblestones of Gansevoort Street between Greenwich and Washington. While some of New York’s most fashionable mingled with the right-place-at-the-right-time tourists on the sidewalk, Buckler’s models strutted down the closed-off street.

There were obvious themes in his collection, including drop-crotch pants and shorts, suede oxfords, and statement sunglasses that appeared to be a cross between RayBan Wayfarers and a mad scientist’s goggles. Buckler used a fairly neutral pallet of greys, beiges, blacks and whites, with the occasional pop of blue. The pieces were a mix of denims, knits, jersey and leather, with several different materials appearing together in a single outfit.

Favorite pieces included an homage to the varsity jacket, with white sleeves and black body, a smartly structured brown leather backpack, and a black leather tuxedo-style blazer.
