Tis the season to do some shopping! 🙂 American Express asked me to take care of some of my holiday shopping nice and early. (Not like my HUSBAND who runs out on Christmas Eve every single year for the past 10 years…but we won’t get into that right now)
My budget was 40,000 American Express Member Points and I had to come up with gifts for 5 of my loved ones. Here’s what I picked!
A Vera Bradley lunch bag for my best friend – 5,500 points
A Peacock Alley Bamboo Bath, Hand, and Wash Towel Set for my grandmother – 10,500 points
A $75 gift certificate to Home Depot for my husband – 7,500 points (2,500 points per $25)
A Learning Resources ABC Chalk Talk board for my daughter – 7,000 points
A LeapFrog Talking Digital Camera for my son – 7,900 points
And I still have 1,600 points to spare!! Woot! Woot!
Shopping for the holidays is super easy with the American Express card. Throughout the year you are basically EARNING your gifts without even knowing it. Love that!
Not that I picked this, but I wanted to show you that sometimes American Express has sales on their points. Right now, you can get a Gap gift card for 500 points LESS than usual. More specials can be found here and include everything from TVs to golf balls.
