I can’t go to the mall anymore. It’s just insane and I feel like I don’t have enough energy to handle it all. Just getting INTO the mall takes a good 25 minutes. That’s how crowded the streets are around Roosevelt Field. Almost all of Queens and Nassau go there to shop. PLEASE! Nothing is worth it.
I had to come up with another plan and ended up driving to my town’s main street instead. After grabbing a Starbucks tea, I looked inside several of the local shops that line our street. Thankfully, I found some pretty great pieces/gifts. This bracelet, which I bought for myself, was only $18! I LOVE IT!
And in that same store, I picked up more jewelry and a nativity snow globe that I’m giving to Natalie on Christmas.
My point is – if you haven’t finished your list yet – don’t forget about the mom and pop shops in your neighborhood. You never know what you will find. 🙂
