During #NYFW, I was invited to attend the SearsStyle Blogger Brunch in NYC. Several people were asked to come to the event entirely dressed in clothing purchased from Sears. I was one of them. Everything from my jewelry, to my maternity jeans, to my purse, cami and beige shirt were bought during this shopping trip. Mind you… I took home a whole lot more during that excursion! LOL. But a girl can only wear one shirt at a time, right?
The event walked us through several upcoming trends that Sears is gearing to promote this Fall and Winter. We had a particular focus on the Kardashian Kollection. I fell in LOVE with the dress I am holding in the above picture. It also comes in all black if you are opposed to pattern.
One of my good friends Dawn Sandomeno (to the right of me) and I had the opportunity to interview Bruno Schiavi – leading International Designer and head of the Kardashian Kollection – during the event. What a highlight!!
Bruno said the main design inspiration was this notion of “desk to dinner” which means the clothes should take a woman from her work desk to a dinner date with ease. The pieces needed to be fashionable but functional. “Women want to be fashionable but they are on a limited budget”, says Bruno. They should focus on pieces that are easy to wear and don’t always feel committed to “body hugging” designs. AMEN TO THAT! I am all about the loose fitting trend. Free and flowing is alright with me. 🙂
So, what are the 3 key pieces every woman should own? According to Bruno Schiavi:
- Jeggings / Leggings
- Comfortable clothing like sweaters
- Shoe boot is a must have for this Fall
(love that this Kardashian Kollection look is done two different ways)

(lots of bloggers digging into the SearsStyle racks)
The Kardashian Kollection is launching in the UK (and 13 other countries) on November 8th – so readers on the other side of the pond should look out for that one!

Interestingly enough I am headed to Sears this week to get some workout clothes, so I might just have to stop by the Kardashian Kollection section :)

I blogged about their Kollection when it first lahecund, and I love their pieces! I even purchased a couple, which fit perfectly on my curvy shape. The collection has a little something for various body types, which I like. And they are stylish and affordable.I guess what I'm trying to say is that I agree with your assessment! Love your blog by the way!
