Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics makes a majorly high claim. They claim to be 100% vegan and cruelty-free. That’s not the part that’s major. There are many brands out there who commit to this. What makes OCC different? They also claim to have highly pigmented products that compete with the likes of MAC. That got me curious. It’s easy to find makeup that is vegan and cruelty-free. Chances are, though, you have to sacrifice quality for your conscience. I was pretty excited to attend the launch event for OCC’s Fall Color Collection to test out this claim.

OCC’s Fall Color Collection was inspired by the 1920’s cabaret performer, Calpernia Addams. She is the face of the collection. Think dark, edgy colors that are sure to pop with any outfit. The Fall collection includes lip tars in matte and glossy. With names like Sebastian (taupe), Role Play (red) and Dekadent (purple), these lip tars are sexy and moody. The collection also includes some creme color concentrates like Discipline (taupe berry) and Grasshopper (green). These can be used on the lips, eyes or, if you dare, cheeks. The OCC Fall Color Collection is daring and tempting. It lures you into sexy looks that are sure to turn heads.

I tried out a few of the colors and I can officially tell you that the colors are as highly pigmented as they claim. They’re not lying! A beauty brand that actually lives up to its claims? You got it with OCC. I tested out the lip tar in Anita for a full day and LOVED how the color looked against my skin. It goes on like a gloss but semi-dries to a matte.
